This is a quick service announcement — You might have noticed that we’ve switched to using our Twitter feed on the DLRP Magic.com homepage rather than the old Updates blog. This is a much quicker and easier method of posting links to new and updated pages, but means that if you’re reading this via an RSS feed you might be missing out on updates.

No problem — even if you’re not on Twitter, you can subscribe to an RSS feed of our Twitter updates here and stay in the loop on our Disneyland Paris updates!

We will be keeping the updates blog online for the foreseeable future, as it may come in handy for introducing larger features or posting announcements about the website, but the Twitter feed will now be the main daily updates feed to follow.

Magical Moments offer plus free hotel, tickets and even transport for all kids under 12!

There’s a new official Disneyland Paris special offer now available for UK visitors, offering up to 20% off bookings for arrival dates right up to 7th November 2011. Not only that but a very generous extension of the usual “Free for Kids Under 7″ offer, which now doesn’t just include transport options such as Eurostar and Flybe flights but extends to all kids under 12.

As this offer now runs right through to 10th April and availability will be limited per hotel and per night, we’d advise booking that “Disney Magical Moments Festival” trip as soon as possible to get the deal and the dates you want. Check out all the details at Disneyland Paris.com here.

Attraction closures to April, opening hours for March, entertainment dates and more!

Almost every page on the Calendar has an update waiting for you this week. Monthly Park Hours has the park opening times for the whole of March 2011, with some great long weekend hours ahead — even at Walt Disney Studios Park! The second gate will be trying out a 9pm closing time on the first two weekends of the month.

The latest Extra Magic Hours dates have been published and now go daily right through June 2011, whilst Annual Passport Blockouts are now available right up to November 2012.

Heading to the resort in the next three months? You’ll be pleased (hopefully) to see the latest Closures & Refurbishments up to April 2011, including closures for Pirates of the Caribbean and Toy Story Playland attractions.

Looking further ahead, our Special Offers round-up has all the latest official deals fully updated and our Season Dates guide has been completely refreshed with a new month-by-month listing of the show, parade and entertainment dates for the year ahead.

A new New Generation Festival video!

Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and friends come together for a grand celebration of the newest Disney heroes, a fun medley of music and character moments on the giant 360-degree stage in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The main event of the New Generation Festival, we captured it at twilight on a busy day in Disneyland Park:

You’ve helped us add even more menus to our new database, now up to 36 restaurants.

The latest additions since we launched the brand new pages late last year include: Toad Hall Restaurant, Hunter’s Grill, Beaver Creek Tavern, Café Hyperion, Manhattan Restaurant and Cowboy Cookout Barbeque.

We’ve now got 36 up-to-date Disneyland Paris restaurant menus online, but there are 11 more still to complete! If you’re visiting soon, why not take a quick photo of the menu boards and send it over! Our RC Racer guidebook page has now been completed with a write-up of the attraction, trivia and over 40 all-new original photos. At the same time, we’ve got a brand new HD video taking a look around the attraction and up-close as RC whooshes past, up and down the thrilling 80ft halfpipe!

64 Refreshed pages – check out what’s new!

It’s been a long ride, but after several months’ work (and several years work-in-progress) we can proudly announce that every single Disneyland Paris attraction guide here on DLRP Magic.com — that’s all 64 of ‘em! — has been refreshed into a brand new page design, bringing a clearer layout, hundreds of all-new photos and a whole load of new trivia and tips, at the click of a mouse.

We’ve ditched the columns, streamlined the colours and added some great new features. Your eye is drawn down through the page with clear, consistent blocks of content — no tricky tabs or sidebars to navigate. Information has more room to breathe, a new Gallery stretches across each page and the photos are bigger, brighter and much better quality.

Like to share your favourite films and TV shows on your Facebook profile? Why not Disneyland Paris attractions, too? Every attraction now has a unique ‘Like’ button so you can share your favourites.

Here’s a quick look at the thinking behind the new pages:

In the process of updating each page, hundreds of new trivia facts have been added and re-written from multiple sources, including the original 1992 Euro Disney press pack. You might be surprised to find a few facts and figures you never knew. Much more focus has been placed on photos, with over 600 all-new photos added so far and plenty more still to come, gradually filling in the gaps. Even better, every single photo on the new pages is now an exclusive DLRP Magic.com original, so between us and our friends at Photos Magiques, you can now enjoy much more variety.

Some of the most complete pages so far include: Liberty Arcade, Adventure Isle, Big Thunder Mountain and Crush’s Coaster.

We hope you enjoy browsing the new pages, and keep returning to see future updates and additions — we’re a long way from finished yet! Looking ahead, 2011 will see new land and park pages, a completely refreshed Planning section, new Disney Village pages, our Reviews section finally reopened to members, our Restaurant Menus completed, brand new Hotel guides, more new HD videos and even more new attraction photos and Guidebook updates. Our popular Planning section just added an exciting new set of pages we’ve had requested again and again over our many years online. Here they are, finally: Restaurant Menus!

This is a dedicated database of Disneyland Paris menus — Table Service, Counter Service; both in the parks and around the resort at Disney Village and beyond — each page providing a complete write-up of the location’s current menu and all the current prices in an easy to follow and quickly-updated format.

Now you can find your favourite dish or plan your entire food budget from home — that dash around the parks comparing each restaurant on an empty stomach never needs happen again

Want to know more than just the dishes? Every restaurant’s Menu page plugs directly into its Reviews page, and visa-versa, whilst lands from Frontierland to Backlot in the Guidebook now link across to their dining options’ menus, bringing everything together.

But we’re not quite done — the new Restaurant Menus homepage has a list of the menus we’ve not quite had chance to note down yet. With the current snowy conditions putting paid to our own menu mission, if you’re due to visit soon maybe you can help us complete them all? A quick camera snap is all that’s required!

And so, we cut the ribbon with a hearty – “Bon Appétit!”

You wait for the next month of closures and then four come at once.

Finally! The next lot of Closures & Refurbishments for Disneyland Paris attractions has been officially published today — much, much-anticipated for those planning a winter getaway to the magic. Cheekily, we’re only days away from December as these dates are announced, although thankfully next month you’ll only miss Space Mountain: Mission 2 for a few days.

The bigger refurbishments have been saved for the new year, including work already on two Toy Story Playland attractions — Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop and Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin — plus a mystery long closure for Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic, from 3rd January right up to 11th February. Perhaps Disney just imagine no-one at all will want to ride it in that cold weather.

Also notable is the refurbishment of La Tanière du Dragon, which goes down on 14th February and doesn’t open up right through the end of these listings – to March 2011 so far. This chimes in perfectly with the talk (and in fact, via reservation hotlines, confirmation) that the whole of Sleeping Beauty Castle will finally be given a full refurbishment through 2011. Something we hoped to see before the 15th Anniversary, which will now at long last be done by the 20th. A few imperfect views to be expected at times next year, perhaps…

After capturing a glimpse of the classic magic of Main Street, U.S.A. at night, let’s take a stroll through the brand new Toy Story Playland at Walt Disney Studios Park.

The opening times for the second half of December confirm an interesting schedule of long park hours, with Disneyland Park opening on the busiest days at 9.30am and Walt Disney Studios Park once again being allowed to stay up until past midnight on New Year’s Eve!

If you’re looking further ahead, Extra Magic Hours have also been confirmed for April.

Everything on the Calendar is fully updated, including December park opening hours.

The latest Monthly Park Hours go right through to mid-December, when the weekdays will be colder and shorter but the weekends packed for as long as 9am to 10pm!

Further ahead, Extra Magic Hours listings are now up for March 2011 and there are a few amendments to the Closures & Refurbishments.
